As basketball fans, we’ve been witness to an amazing NBA Finals. The best-of-seven series has seen a little bit of everything. From the NBA’s MVP seemingly running on fumes and at other times looking miraculous; to his aging teammate on two torn knees playing like the “Flash” of younger days.
We saw “old men” play like pups and new dogs tie and then break records. There were big shots blocked and even bigger ones made.
For two glorious weeks, we watched men, aged 24 – 37, play like rival factions of city streets. Young and old joined together, sharing one first or last taste of the NBA Finals.
In the end, Miami came away with the wins. No one will ever look back on the 2013 NBA Finals and say they weren’t dramatic or hard-fought. Each and every single victory was battled in the trenches of the paint as well as from the edges of the arcs.
